The author would like to thank his colleague and friend, Christophe Nussbaumer, who was one of the first NoteTab users. It is thanks to him and his encouragements that NoteTab became available on the Internet.
Since then, many NoteTab users – unfortunately too many to mention here – have provided helpful feedback and interesting suggestions to improve the software. Thanks to their comments, NoteTab has been enriched with many significant improvements.
Many thanks to the following people who provided an abundance of helpful feedback and/or resources while NoteTab 4.8 was undergoing development and beta testing:
David Nourse was a great help in writing short program descriptions that convey clearly what NoteTab is about. His writing skills are much appreciated. Sheri Pierce produced the very useful bookmarked version of the ClipCode.chm Help file. The Press Release was produced by Al Harberg, an expert in this field.
For versions 4.5 and 4.6, the Fookes Software is particularly indebted to the abundant feedback it has received from members of the NoteTab mailing lists. Users have provided many useful suggestions and helped to fix many bugs and small glitches. Unfortunately, it is impossible to name all those who contributed to these versions, so please forgive us for just listing the most active participants:
Also, a special thank you to Raymond Fitzgerald for reading through all the software documentation and detailing the errors that needed correcting.
Version 4.0 is one of the most significant updates. It has also undergone some of the most intensive beta testing since NoteTab was introduced two years ago. Fookes Software is therefore much indebted to the following people who have spent much time testing the software and offering valuable suggestions:
Several application icons are available if you do not like the default one (see View tab in Options dialog box). Thanks to Jon Aske, Scott Klafke, Paul Arzul, and Slava Shlyaptsev for their contributions (not to mention Arthur Smith, who had the idea for the main program icon – the Swiss flag). To keep the file size down, Fookes Software had to limit the number of icons included in the program. So many thanks to the other artists who sent icons too.
The following people have provided much valuable feedback on earlier versions of the program:
The mathematics feature was made possible thanks to the excellent freeware parsing component developed by the following people:
The spell checker and thesaurus components used in the commercial versions of NoteTab Standard and NoteTab Pro are produced by Addictive Software. NoteTab Pro uses a modified version of the Orpheus input control developed by TurboPower. The Setup program is made with the Inno Setup package developed by Jordan Russell.
